Our neighborhood casino night was a hit! On Friday, May 25, residents gathered together at Headwaters Sales Cottage in their best black-tie attire to play some friendly games of Craps, Roulette and Blackjack. Entry to the event was $20 per person and a portion of the proceeds went to benefit local charities, including Coastal Pet Rescue and Nine Line Foundation.

Residents dined on hors d’oeuvres consisting of brie, rosemary crackers and gourmet nut mixes, coupled with a selection of wine and beer as they staked their “fun money” to win raffle tickets. In order to support local business, gift certificates to Ace Hardware, Jeff’s Beverage, Time and Again Vintage Furnishings, Kathi Rich Fine Clothing and Elmgren’s Garden Center, were chosen from guest’s raffle tickets.

The décor was adorned with red, black and white flower arrangements, to complement the official casino tables managed by professional dealers provided by Monte Carlo Productions out of Savannah. To set the tone, classic swing and jazz music danced through the air and transitioned to pop/dance music by the end of the night.

The event was such fun, residents asked the dealers to stay an extra hour to continue the enjoyment of the glamorous evening. By the end of the night, everyone went home a winner.
