We are pleased to announce that Rebecca Sweeney has joined the WaterWays Township Team as the community’s newest Lifestyle Director. In this position, Rebecca will serve the Owners Association by coordinating an extensive calendar of community events, activities, and resident clubs.

“WaterWays is such a unique and special place, and I have already seen how enthusiastic the residents are about participating in activities that bring the community together… particularly activities that focus on wellness” says Rebecca. “I am thrilled and honored about this opportunity to further enrich the lives of those that live in WaterWays.”

Rebecca is a mom of two, an Ohio native, and she has lived more than half of her life in the Savannah area. She was born and raised in Cincinnati until she moved to Savannah to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1997. There, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration. As a college student, she became fascinated with Yoga and wellness, and she became a certified, Yoga Alliance registered Yoga instructor in 2001. Soon, Rebecca became a military wife and continued to pursue illustration as a commission artist as she and her husband traveled the globe. More recently, she has enjoyed combining her passion for the arts with the wellness industry as a teacher of Yoga and Art Therapy classes for children and adults. She also opened her own Yoga and fitness event center named FLOURISH, and then eventually turned that business into an opportunity to teach private lessons along with community and corporate workshops.

Rebecca brings so much enthusiasm and experience to the position, and we can’t wait to share more information about all the events and activities that she will plan. Welcome, Rebecca!
