WaterWays Township Begins Construction of New Marina

April 04, 2017 by WaterWays Township

Richmond Hill, Ga. (March 7, 2017)

WaterWays Township, a 2,300-acre master-planned community in South Bryan County, continues to expand with the newest addition to the community, the WaterWays Township Marina.

Located along Red Bird Waterway, the WaterWays Township Marina will be a full-service operation providing boat owners with convenient access to the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. Scheduled for completion in 2020, the dry stack storage facility will be equipped to hold approximately 200 boats up to 30 feet long and will include 200 linear feet of floating docks, aluminum gangways, a large forklift and a concrete access platform. With  these features, the marina will provide launching services for trailered boats, those in dry  stack storage, as well as resident vessels moored at private docks in the community’s Harbour Lagoon system.

As an extension of WaterWays Township community, the marina facilities will incorporate important elements from authentic Lowcountry structures seen throughout the region, including rustic architecture and classic nautical designs. The marina grounds will provide sufficient space for designated marina operations, as well as areas for vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

“We’re very excited to begin construction of this highly anticipated addition to our community,” says Ron Lamm, Senior Vice President of Fletcher Davis and the Project Manager for WaterWays Township. “The marina will provide another outlet to explore and enjoy this beautiful area from the water and we look forward to sharing this experience with the community and the citizens who live along the coastal corridor.”

Details on the operational aspects of the marina and dry stack storage availability will be announced at a later date.
