Hot Holiday Drink Recipes for the Whole Family

What’s better than curling up by the fire with a nice warm holiday drink? Check out some of our favorite holiday inspired drinks that the entire family can enjoy!

 1. Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate

Even though fall has ended and everyone has replaced their pumpkins with holiday decorations, the urge to indulge in pumpkin flavored treats is likely still lingering! Try this Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate while you and your family cozy up on the couch to watch a classic holiday movie.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 2 cups of milk (can be non-dairy if needed)
  • 2 TBSP of Maple Syrup
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 2 TBSP of Cocoa Powder
  • 1 Pumpkin Spice hot chocolate packet
  • 1 Can whipped cream

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients (minus cinnamon stick & whipped cream) to a saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium-low until warmed, stirring occasionally.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness.
  4. Let it sit until it reaches your desired temperature.
  5. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream.

2. Crockpot Mulled Apple Cider

Just because it’s Christmas time doesn’t mean you need to ignore all of your favorite fall foods. Try this Apple Cider!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 gallon apple cider
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 oranges, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 4 cinnamon sticks plus more for garnish

 Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a Crock-Pot.
  2. Cover and heat on low for 2 hours.
  3. Serve warm with extra cinnamon sticks for a garnish
  4. Enjoy!

3. Homemade Mint White Hot Chocolate

Looking for a unique way to change up your hot chocolate? Change up this favorite holiday desert with a mint white chocolate flavor!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp Peppermint extract or mint extract
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag White chocolate chips
  • 2 cups Half & half
  • 2 cups Milk

Directions:

  1. In a pot, add milk and half-and-half, and heat over medium heat until steamy.
  2. Stir in the white chocolate chips.
  3. Continue stirring until chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is creamy.
  4. Stir in food coloring and extracts.
  5. Stir until smooth and enjoy!
