Although the Farmer’s Almanac listed February as abnormally colder than usual, we happily welcome a warmer March. Looking forward to spending time outside again, without gloves? So are we. Read on for a great list of springtime activities to enjoy with your family.

At WaterWays, residents can stretch their legs outdoors or have a picnic at one of our interior parks. Bring a Frisbee or some coloring books, and enjoy the fresh air as you relax with your family. But here, the real fun starts with the water. Lucky for you, family adventures like fishing, kayaking, and canoeing are right outside your door.

WaterWays Township is an ideal location for many reasons: great schools, genuine community, and the gorgeous marshlands of Georgia’s coastline. We’re also just a short drive to the charming and historic city of Savannah, so there’s always something to do!

We love Savannah. From its rich Southern history, to its vibrant and festive art scene, this city packs all the essentials of a perfect day trip… or maybe even a weekend getaway! One of our favorite things about Savannah in the springtime is taking advantage of all the outdoors events. Savannah’s City Market and River Street offer some of the best boutiques, shops, and restaurants. Roam through the Historic District for Southern charm and culture, guaranteed.  For more recommended family fun, check out visitsavannah.com

If you’re driving along 95 en route Savannah, you’ll pass the Gateway. While there are plenty of destinations worth visiting within the Gateway, we recommend taking a nice stroll through some botanical gardens. The University of Georgia’s Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens offers a beautiful, 50-acre wonderland. Be on the look-out for Camellias and saucer magnolias! If you need more convincing, take a look at their website here.

Whether you prefer to keep things local, or get out as a family, there are plenty of activities to entertain here at WaterWays!
